Each recently cut (rough sawn) aromatic red cedar piece will measure between 9" and 12" in approximate diameter* at the widest and 2" in thickness. Photos are of similar sold pieces, but we are happy to provide a photo of the slice we select for you prior to shipping if you request this in the order notes.

Select the desired size from the drop down “size” menu. The listing is for 1 piece in the selected size; it is completely natural, not sanded or finished, except around the edges to knock off any potential rough edges. Bark may or may not be present; request if bark is preferred.

*A note about size/measurement: the measurement listed is the approximate size (rounded down to next full inch) across the widest part of the slice. As these are not completely round, it may be less wide at another part of the piece. As you can see from the photos, these are "imperfectly perfect" - cedar trees can grow in some unusual shapes and are rarely perfectly round. Each is unique, but as beautiful as these shown. ::NOTE::
This is a completely natural wood product. You will find some saw dust residue on them, the bark will flake and/or peel somewhat. There may be some areas where the bark is completely gone. The surface may also lightly crack as it dries out. It also smells like cedar. Some very brave bugs may also make their way to you (this has been reported twice in 4,600+ sales). We are literally cutting these from our woods and shipping them to you! None of this will affect their intended purpose and is completely a natural characteristic of a fresh cut wood product. Just want you to know.
